@julian maybe I misunderstood the post from LivingCooki, but I really don't think that HTTP has that kind of string interpolation anywhere in its protocol.

Could ActivityPub / ActivityStreams be used to synchronize files across separate machines / computers / devices‽@reiver this smells a little of "all I have is a hammer...". And it's not true we have much better tools, some of them even open source.
