I want a USABLE social media platform that isn't owned by a corporate asshole.

Fedi is barely usable without discoverability and ignorance is killing it.

Educate yourself. ActivityPub is an OPEN protocol.

@BeAware He'll probably clarify this himself, but just to head it off a bit: @rolle didn't build a search engine or a database, but an ephemeral browser-based display of the public timeline. Bit of a difference in scope (and privacy).

@julian I have NO doubts that once the wider Fedi gets wind of it, it will be killed before they release it.

Nothing good will be built with the Fedi Mafia around.

We need to push harder against that type of dogpiling bullshit.

I really wish someone would just build it and ignore the ignorant assholes. Hopefully that's what Fediscovery will do, but I don't really have much faith. People are too worried about their "reputation".
